| The status of Newa women in society is poor like any other indigenous caste in Nepal. Domination of overall Newa people which has been continued since histories is the root of woman backwardness. Beside this lack of proper education, inequalities in rural areas are major reason for Newa women backwardness in society. Similarly traditional thinking creates boundaries in empowerment of women through Newa women are much skilled. |
